Salma is the middle child in a loud, chaotic family, which often means feeling invisible. Between stolen snacks, petty fights, and a constant lack of privacy, she’s had enough. When her little brother’s antics push her over the edge, Salma strikes back in a way she can’t undo. But an emergency at school forces her to face just how deep sibling love really runs. Will this be the moment she learns that family annoyances and family love often live side-by-side?

What’s It Really Like to Be the Middle Child?

Life in a big family is full of noise, drama, and endless surprises, and sometimes it feels like no one sees you at all. A funny, relatable, and touching tale that reminds kids (and parents!) that even in the chaos, family love always finds its way through.

Hello my name is Emaan, and I'm 11 years old. When I saw this book I really wanted it a lot, when I read the reviws everybody said it was an amazing book. I was so thrilled to get this book. Wen I got this book I immediately started reading the book. After reading I realized just because a person does something bad to you, you shouldn't take revenge on them , you should still be kind to them. I really loved this book and I have learned a very big lesson! I hope you like this book too!!!

This book is awesome, I read it three times and each time is just better than the last. I recommend that all kids and adults read this book. For kids because it will help them see how trying to get back at someone for something that they did in the past makes your life difficult, and you keep thinking if you were fair or not. And for adults because it brings back memories from your childhood of how your parents dealt with problems like this. The thing that I like about this story is that the author knows how children might feel or think if something like this happens to them.

The book ‘Stuck in the middle’ is an awesome book. It’s funny, and it describes how Salma, the main character in the book, feels about her siblings. The book shows how Salma tries to ruin something her brother saved up money for, just because he eats a chocolate bar she has been saving for her friend for one whole week. I recommend this book for any child who has problems getting along with their brother or sister, and I’m sure they will enjoy it. 😊
