My grandkids love it. They laugh every time we read it.

Bilal just got a tower of legos for getting all A’s on his report card. He is really excited about these legos and spends his day stacking the tower slowly, making sure it is perfect! His mom mentions that there is a second surprise coming, but Bilal doesn’t notice because he is too busy playing legos...⠀ But then weird things start happening- grandma is in his parents bed, baba comes home and almost crashes the tower, and then brushes his teeth with a comb, and mixes Wudu all up! (The book includes the correct steps of Wudu) ⠀ Bilals dad also faces the wrong way when praying, and sits in a tricycle instead of his car. Bila finally takes his father to bed and his mom them arrives home by herself and collapses on the couch. She almost knocks down the tower but Bilal saves it, just in time. ⠀ Then, he discovers a wrapped hidden baby next to his mom. He picks her up and she stretches, hitting his tower and crashing it to the floor. (My kids thought it hilarious, because their little sister always knocks down their lego towers) Bilal is sad that his tower got knocked down, but he doesn’t blame the baby. The book ends on a hilarious note that shows just how tired the parents still are!⠀ ⠀ This was a funny story full of lessons for kids. Teaching children about how parents get tired from taking care of a new baby, showing the importance of doing wudu in order and facing the qiblah, and showing how siblings should be patient with each other.⠀

This funny, creative story will definitely make your little ones giggle. It is so refreshing to read a story that doesn't necessarily deal with heavy topics. Instead, a very natural occurrence is presented in a silly story line that just makes the reader relate in more ways than one. I really love that this story shows that amid all the chaos of every growing family, there will be beautiful moments that will be cherished forever. My kids love this and ask me to reread it often. The illustrations are great. I find the grandma to be so adorable in this story. This book would be great for any muslim household or Islamic school library.

Our family laughed with every turned page, such an adorable book that's hilariously honest and warm loving and depicts the exhaustion surrounding a newborn and the instant bond it creates with older siblings.

we absolutely loved this book! How I wish we found it when I was expecting with my youngest. I loved how Bilal, before even knowing he was a big brother, cared so beautifully for his father in his state of exhaustion! Truly beautiful story! MashaAllah

This is such an adorable story. Bilal is shown as any ordinary boy interested in building things but at the same time empathic and caring towards his family. While mother is away, he goes out of his way to help his father in several ways which was just heart warming to read. Sometimes older siblings have trouble adjusting to the arrival of a new baby but I appreciate that this book shows ways how the older brother was helpful and loving. Jazakum Allahu khairan!
