On a rooftop in Gaza, Noura tends her father’s beloved garden, watering each plant with care and pride. It’s her escape, her joy, and her way of caring for her family especially, her little brother Esam.

Fatimah can’t wait for her grandmother, Ayeyo, to come live with them. She loves her colourful tales of Somali feasts, laughter with neighbours, and adventures from long ago.

When war reaches little Amina’s doorstep, she and her mother must leave everything behind... their home, their neighbours, even the sound of peace. Through Amina’s eyes, we see soldiers without smiles, streets turned to stone, and boats far too crowded for comfort.
