Yes! It’s best if you have already written something so you can go through the lessons and revise your picture book manuscript step by step. But even if you don’t have a manuscript, you’ll learn what it takes to write a good picture book and will have the knowledge and tools on how to revise it.

When does this course start and end?

Picture Perfect is a self-paced online course with each module available to watch on our platform. You’ll receive access to the modules and activities as soon as you sign up. There is no start or end date to the program.

Does this course cover everything that I need to know to write a great picture book?

This isn’t an exhaustive course as it’s not possible to cover everything in 4 modules. For example, we don’t cover concept picture books or elements of lyrical language like rhyme and meter. But Picture Perfect will cover the most important things when it comes to making sure you have a story that is working well on the page.
