I started Ruqaya’s Bookshelf because I wanted something more for my daughter, books that reflected her identity, her faith, her beautiful Muslim name. I wanted her to open a storybook and see a character who looked like her, believed like her, dreamed like her.
Since 2015, I’ve been on a mission to help families raise confident, faith-filled children through stories that are bright, meaningful, and deeply rooted in Islamic values.
This work is incredibly personal to me. After my devotion to Allah, my daughter Ruqaya is my greatest source of inspiration. As a widowed mother, I’ve poured my heart into every book we publish, so that children like Ruqaya grow up knowing they are seen, valued, and celebrated.
