This book is fantastic!

I can't say enough good things about this book, from the amazing moral of the story, to the illustrations, to showcasing beautiful people of colour my children can resonate with!

This book is a must buy! We read it every day and sometimes a few times a day, my kids love it that much!

Celebrate the success of others!

My son truly loves all the books I have purchased from Ruqaya's Bookshelf. Wonderful selection of diverse books that are truly relatable for Muslim children.
This is such a great story to teach about team building, working together, and being happy for the success of others.

So cool!

My kids really liked this book, especially since we are currently a family obsessed with basketball!
This has a lot of cute themes and lessons that kids can learn from.
It like how “Islamic” it is, with the word inshaAllah explained and present throughout the book.
I like how the story shows that Basirah might not have gotten what she wanted (team captain) but that Allah’s plans are always better for us. Basirah learns to overcome her feelings of jealousy and recognize that friendship and teamwork are more important than just one really good player.
Also, how cute are the illustrations. My favorite is the last page, with her winking at the reader😉
I also liked how Basirah is really close to her Dad! Another super supportive and caring Dad figure in an Islamic book❤️

Pass the ball Kobe :)

Love the strong and positive portrayal of the dad and Basirah's relationship with him.

It really simplified a very deep aqeedah concept in beautiful manner.

Jazakllah hayr for making the available :)
