Fun and cute story!

My kids love this book, especially my 3.5 year old daughter. I love how it includes a diverse family and teaches the girls to accept their differences. It’s also fun to read because of the humor and conversation. I highly recommend this cute story of two twins Roda and Bushra!

Such a needed book!

Bushra and Roda are identical twins. But Bushra has straight hair and Roda has curly hair, and they both wish they had the opposite twin’s hair. They decide one day to switch, and with the help of a curling iron and straightener, they turn into the other twin. They start to enjoy their day with their new hair, but they end up confusing everyone, and by the end of the day they realize how hard it was to be mistaken for their twin. (Spiders are involved in this process!) The girls have different interests and personalities, and so it is difficult for them to adjust. ⠀

But they learn a valuable lesson at the end- that it is beautiful to be unique, and that the world is a more beautiful place because everyone is different and unique.⠀

Many lessons can be learned from this funny story- first off, it is important to be happy with the qualities Allah created you with! (As said by their parents) ⠀

Also, your unique qualities make you who you are, and you should be proud of yourself and confident in your individual qualities.⠀

This is such a relatable topic- I have heard my daughter many times request me to change her hair color and style. And I always tell her that she is beautiful how Allah made her. It is lovely to see a story that addresses this issue. ⠀

One thing me and my kids also found hilarious was the teachers’ names: Mrs. Lemon and Mrs. Crumbly...it made us hungry for some lemon cake😂⠀

Hair love

My daughter loved this book about two twins who experiment with their hair. I love that a lot of your books have biracial families, and it is easy for my family to relate.
